This Privacy Policy explains how ZaykaTap collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect:

We collect different categories of data depending on whether you are an outlet owner, staff member, or customer:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password. For security reasons, your password is stored in encrypted/hashed form and cannot be retrieved or disclosed by us. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Outlet Owners/Staff: Additional data such as IP addresses, device information, and login timestamps to ensure secure access.
  • Customers: Additional data such as name and phone number for order tracking, and IP address, device type, browser information, and visiting timestamps temporarily for security and abuse prevention.
  • Business Information: Outlet name and details such as location, contact details, and applicable GST percentage, to calculate taxes correctly on invoices.
  • Menu Data: We store the menu items, descriptions, prices, categories, and images that you upload to your account in order to provide the service. This information is fully user-generated, and you remain responsible for its accuracy, legality, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Billing Information: Payment method, billing address, name, phone number, and subscription or plan details.

2. Use of Information:

  • Provide core services such as menu browsing, order placement, and subscription management.
  • Ensure account security and reduce misuse or abuse of the Platform.
  • Improve user experience and optimize Platform performance.
  • Send important notifications, such as subscription renewals or account activity alerts.

3. Cookies and Tracking:

  • The Platform uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate properly, maintain security, and prevent abuse.
  • Necessity: Without cookies, the Platform cannot provide essential services, including order tracking, menu access, and subscription features.
  • Customers/Visitors: Temporary tracking of IPs and device info is performed to detect fraudulent or abusive activity. Data is deleted every 15 days unless flagged for abuse.
  • Outlet Owners/Staff: IPs, device details, and login activity are retained as long as the account exists or until termination.
  • Cookies never collect sensitive payment details.
  • Disabling cookies may result in loss of access to essential Platform features.

4. Data Storage & Retention:

  • User data is stored until deleted by the user or their account is terminated.
  • Visitor IPs and device details are deleted every 15 days unless linked to abuse or spam.
  • User IP and device information are retained after each login for account security purposes.
  • Accounts that are terminated will have their details, plan information, outlet details, and termination date securely logged to maintain integrity.
  • Uploaded content remains until deleted by the user or account termination. Content may be retained for up to 7 days to allow review requests unless legal or security reasons require longer storage.

5. Sharing of Information:

  • We do not sell personal data to third parties.
  • Information may be shared with government authorities when required by law or to comply with valid legal orders.
  • In case of copyright claims, verified content owners may be provided with the contact details of the user who uploaded the disputed content.
  • We may share limited data with third-party service providers that support our operations, subject to their own terms and compliance with data protection laws.

6. Data Security:

  • We implement reasonable measures to protect user information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
  • However, no system can guarantee 100% security; users are responsible for securing their accounts and devices.

7. Third-Party Services:

  • The Platform may integrate with third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, delivery partners).
  • We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third-party services. Users should review their policies before use.

8. Compliance with Law:

  • We cooperate with government authorities in nations where we operate or have users, and comply with lawful orders, including content removal requests.

9. User Rights:

  • Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their data by contacting us.
  • Users may raise review requests within 7 days of account suspension or termination.

10. Changes to Policy:

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
